
After several leaks and rumors, announced officially today at IFA 2010 the Galaxy Samsung Tab (GT-P1000) which is the first tablet Samsung Android and the first serious challenger for the IPAD, a major manufacturer with a platform to rise to the occasion.
The Galaxy Samsung Tab stands out as the first DivX certified tablet and from say Samsung will be available first in Europe in mid September and then exit in the U.S. and Asia. Unfortunately they did not announce the price, which is essential to know whether you can really pose a threat to Apple.
Galaxy Samsung Tab will runs Android 2.2 and has a screen of 7 inches which is smaller than the IPAD and despite what many are we longed Super TFT and AMOLED. In the press conference, Samsung’s people left some interesting definitions: no plan to launch a WiFi-only version because the idea is to work with operators to have a subsidized price, and are working on the next generation of tablets with Android Honeycomb (“3.5″), the Galaxy Samsung Tab would be updated Android Tab Gingerbread 3.0.
