In this day and age, the cables are becoming a thing of the past. Wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, are helping us get rid of the spaghetti we all know but not love. Windows 7 is very adept at using Bluetooth technology, however, Windows 7 Bluetooth problems have not been extinguished.

1. Start by opening the Control Panel.
2. Select “View devices and printers” in hardware and sound “menu item.

As mentioned above, can often be the result of a driver that is causing problems with Bluetooth devices. To find the latest drivers for your Bluetooth device check with the manufacturer of the device or its website. To find the manufacturer of the device follow the steps listed below.
Make sure you are logged on as an administrator or an administrator on the PC.

1. click Start> Control Panel> Hardware and Sound then Device Manager.
2. Double-click Bluetooth Radios to expand that section.
3. Right-click the Bluetooth adapter, click Properties.
4. Click the Driver tab.
5. Beside Driver Provider, Microsoft will or the name of another provider.
6. Contact the vendor for help.

How Reinstall Bluetooth on Windows 7
If you have installed the latest driver and still have a problem with the device, try reinstalling the Bluetooth device.
Enter the device manager. (See step under a driver issues.)

1. Select the device is not working, and then click Remove.
2. Click Add, press the reset button on the device (make sure that the device can be detected by following the instructions supplied with the device), select the My device is set up and ready to be found check box, then click Next.
3. If the device is not, repeat the previous step. When the device is found, select it and then click Next.
4. Follow the rest of the wizard’s instructions.

Check the simple things.
There are some simple things that other forms of knowledge that may be causing problems.

1. Check the distance of the device. The information that comes with the Bluetooth device will enable the correct distance for the device to function properly. For example, if the device is too far will not work correctly.
2. If you have multiple Bluetooth devices connected to your computer, make sure your computer is trying to connect to the correct device. If you have a Bluetooth mouse keyboard and other Bluetooth external devices may have trouble connecting or too many connections at once. The computer can also connect to a Bluetooth device co-workers at a nearby workstation. Make sure the name and serial number of the device shown matches the device you are using or installing. This can be verified by right-clicking the device during installation or in Device Manager.
3. Make sure that Windows 7 can accept incoming Bluetooth connections.

Click Start> Control Panel Hardware> sound devices and> Bluetooth.
Click the Options tab and select the checkbox “Allow Bluetooth devices to connect to this computer” and click OK.

Working with Bluetooth devices can eliminate the hassle of working with wires and strings. Windows 7 is the latest in Bluetooth technology available and in most cases it works well with a number of Bluetooth devices.
